• Complete tear-off down to the wood sheathing. 
• Inspection of wood. (Wood replacement is an extra cost since it is impossible to know the condition of the substrate in most cases). We make sure that the wood deck is in good condition, as it services as the foundation of the new roof. A compromised roof deck will not hold on to new nails.
• Aluminum drip edge. Drip edge supports the shingles along the edge of the roof and helps keep rain water away from your home.
• We ice guard all potential trouble areas of the roof. This includes:
  • 6ft up from the gutter in most cases
  • in valleys
  • around chimneys
  • around skylights
  • along abutting walls
  • and more
• New chimney flashing. BHI grinds the mortar between the bricks and inserts the new flashing into mortar joints. Then the flashing (brown or black) is sealed with a high-grade sealant. Tucking the flashing into the mortar joint prevents water from penetrating the flashing for years to come.
• New flashing around the soil stack. Flashing will have a lifetime rubber gasket to help prevent leaks
